ALL PRESENT ARE BROTHERS
Dear Brothers,
With deep sorrow I would like to discuss the loss of our 2 brothers who passed away this month from our lodge. It was less than a week apart that we first lost brother Ed Pyne and then brother Joe Nunzio Martino.
Ed was member of our lodge for 27 years. Over this time, he held many positions including Noble Grand and District Deputy Grand Master. He was dedicated to our organization and was a true Odd Fellow. He would speak up in every meeting that I can remember with something important to say. He was never at a loss for words. Sometimes I would think to myself is he ever going to shut up, but it was worth it and showed how much he cared. He was also instrumental in helping to bring back the Encampment and the Canton. He held many positions there, also local and state. He will truly be missed.
Joe joined us later in life several years ago. He was still very involved in a lot of lodge activities. I always pictured him becoming Noble Grand. Unfortunately due to his illness there was not enough time. When I ran for Noble Grand, Joe was one of the brothers who pushed me and gave the confidence that I can do it. Even when he became sick and was unable to come to any more meetings, he managed to come for my Noble Grand Ceremony.
He said he came for me. That brings a tear to my eyes. He will truly be missed.
Let us remember them in our prayers and pray for their wives and families too.
God please bless Ed and Joe and take care of their families.

We have many events coming up in the next couple of months. First is our Integrity Encampment Annual Bowling Fundraiser on March 7th at Levittown Lane 3:30 - 5:30. Always a great time with Odd Fellows from Mineola-Pacific & Rockville Centre Lodges and even Borough Park Lodge. Try to come for a few hours of Odd Fellowship. Bring the family and friends too!
The following weekend is a busy one. On Saturday, March 14th we will be having the Testimonial For Grand Patriarch Aaron Kupferberg and Department Commander Elia Faklis. Many dignitaries will be there from other states as well as our Grand Master Dominic Oreste.
Fraternally yours,
Tom Goetz
